On July 26th, 2019, a two-sided postcard with 1 stamp dedicated to the theme "Prominent Armenians. 125th anniversary of Vahan Totovents" is put into circulation.


The postage stamp of the postcard depicts the photo of the prominent Armenian writer, prose writer and poet Vahan Totovents and the backside of the postcard depicts the illustration from the book of Vahan Totovents “Life on the Ancient Roman Road”.


Vahan Totovents was born on July 18th in 1894 in the town of Mezire of Kharberd province in the Western Armenia. He studied in the USA and then he repatriated to the Soviet Armenia. Vahan Totovents is one of the rarest Armenian writers whose works combine the elements of Western Armenian, Armenian Diaspora and Soviet Armenian literature.
