Hayravank (Armenian:   Հայրավանք) is a 9th-12th century Armenian monastery   located just northeast of the village of Hayravank along the southwest shores of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The monastic complex consists of a church, chapel, and gavit.

On April 19th, 2019, a two-sided postcard with 1 stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 150th anniversary of Vardan Makhokhian” is put into circulation.

The postage stamp of the postcard depicts the prominent Armenian marine painter Vardan Makhokhian in a styled frame and the backside of the postcard depicts Vardan Makhokhian’s painting “Sea on a moonlit night”.

Vardan Makhokhian was born on May 31st in 1869 in Trabzon. He graduated from Berlin Academy of Fine Arts, after which he improved his professional skills in the studio of Hovhannes Aivazovsky. Makhokhian is the most eminent marine painter in the Armenian fine art. Makhokhian was awarded National Order of the Legion of Honor. He died on February 11th in 1937 in Nice.
